Default Destroyed yet another can...

Does anyone else on here used a Micron Titanium Race can?

Reason I ask is that I've shredded mine (again! This happened last summer).

Once the packing burnt out the titanium sleeve just tore apart like a wet paper bag. I was just about to order new packing as well, as I'd done about 2K miles since the last time I replaced it.

There's just no warning, it happened in seconds as I heard the exhaust note change. Next thing there's loose titanium flapping about.

Maybe a steel can wouldn't fall apart quite so readily?

I'm reluctant to buy a replacement sleeve as (in past experience) they never fit properly... and the damn thing falls to bits again, usually causing me to leave a trail of packing strands behind me like feathers!

I guess that tells you not to buy MICRON again...

I had my first remus for 7 k miles. Never needed repacking.

They gave me a free can last time this happened. Though technically its my fault for not replacing the packing regularly enough.

Aye, but every 2000 miles? That's nuts...
