Bike Safe - Wiltshire

I've just got back from a Bike Safe day run by Wiltshire CC and the local coppers. It was very good. Some classroom presentations and discussion followed by an assessment ride with good constructive feedback.

I've got 17 years riding experience, I club raced for a couple of seasons and I've done plenty of trackdays in the past (though none for 4 years now). However, recently, I've realised that my riding is mailny town based and when I get on the A-roads I'm aware that I 'm making mistakes.
I'd read the Police riders Handbook and found myself thinking yeah, well that's common sense and I do 90% of it. It's an eye opener having someone elses opinion on how much of it you are applying though! I've got some good pointers on what to work on, and put them to use on the ride back.

What I'm trying to say is, no matter how much experience you've got (short of being an IAM bod), this day is well worthwhile and FREE! They are a good friendly bunch and you even get a certificate at the end which can be used to secure an insurance discount with some brokers.

If you've been thinking about doing one then stop thinking about it and book yourself a place.

Did mine on my SV650 with twin hi-level renegade cans with no problems
