Are any of you old camera collectors interested in a Canon T70, or is it too modern??

I've just been given one, but I have plenty of Nikon film cameras so it's not much use to me.

Any thoughts?

Keith.

Yes it's an odd one the T70. I'm not sure it'll ever be a classic. I'd have it to complement my canon collection but only if no one else wants it.

Managed to get the XD7 working, turns out it just needed some new batteries! (was too busy messing around with the winder to check the battery in the camera itself lol!) auto winder works great also

has a couple of lenses to go with it (fitted each one and took a picture with each, looks good through the eye piece?)

Minolta 50mm (fitted)
Minolta Rokkor-SI 28mm
Tokina 35-105mm
Sigma 70-210mm

i have a bunch of lens filters and stuff as well, not sure what else to "throw in" if I'm selling it as a bundle?

what do you reckon would be a good starting price for an auction?

That's a tough one. What are they going for individually on eBay? I'm wondering if you might get more for them individually. Its more hassle though.

from what ive seen

Minolta 50mm (fitted) ~£35
Minolta Rokkor-SI 28mm (SG examples going for ~40 whats the difference between SI and SG?)
Tokina 35-105mm ~£35
Sigma 70-210mm ~£20

the camera's themselves seem to be all over the shop, seen some go for 100+ and others for like 20...

i was thinking of a starting bid around 80£

the camera itself is in excellent condition, the only issue i could find was the LED on the auto winder not coming on.

Yoko is the Minolta expert but he is away at the mo. I'll pass on the T70 thanks, but thanks for the offer.

Craig, I think I'd be looking to sell it all separately, even the winder. You are more likely to lose out on a bundle with an auction price. Buyers only after yhe camera may be put off; others won't want all the items so will offer low, hoping to keep the good stuff and sell the rest on
Start the XD7 with the 50mm at £50, put photos on from all angles, inside and out and of the lens from front and back so buyers can see the condition. Describe it in as much detail as possible.
Not sure about prices for the rest of the stuff. Check the ebay listings, including sold prices. You could mention in your ad that you are selling other items and will combine postage and/or offer a discount.

On a different note, I forced myself to go put with the Ricoh today and take a few shots as I was walking round.

I bought what was meant to be a new focussing screen for the A1 as mine was filthy. I'm not convinced it was new as there were a couple of marks visible but it was still better than the original. Anyhow as an experiment I put the old one in an ultrasonic cleaner, it came out sparkling, so its now back in the camera.

Just rebuilt my wife's iMac for the second time. Three years ago the graphics card packed up so we had it repaired. It failed again a few days ago. Just bought a new card and flitted it. All back up and running again. How long have you got left out there then Yoko? I take it you haven't found any flea markets yet?
