I looked at this recently, basically you've got to bite the bullet and do a lot of searching/reading.

Essentially I was looking at forks, yokes (top & bottom), spindle, front wheel, master cylinder, calipers, discs, magnets and Hall effect sensor for speedo and clip ons.

There's a thread that gives some idea of compatability between different models/years, although I don't believe it's comprehensive => http://www.gregoryli.com/search/label/DIY

I bought some K8 forks, yokes, calipers, lines, master cylinder, calipers and magnets for the front end as well as a spare top yoke and some clip ons, but have since decided to forget about the conversion and get a new bike next year.

PM me if you're interested in the bits I have.

Here we go again

Are they BPF? Or normal? I would not bother with BPF.

Big piston forks.

Dunno whether they are on the K8s actually, I pay little attention to such new stuff since it is above my price range, and the SRAD stuff works just as well while looking worse! (an excellent thing to fit in with my bike!)

Did mine about a month ago. (svsk3 with gsxr1000k2 forks gsxr6/750k1-k3 calipers)
Things you'll need are.
forks
yokes
steering stem
wheel
wheel spindle
brake discs
brake calipers.
clip ons (TL1000S or similar)
Various bolts for yokes, calipers, clip ons etc.

You can use the stock master cylinder and brake lines.
You can use your original front mudguard if you make a bracket for it to fit.
If you want your speedo to work you will need magnets to fit into the brake discs and a hall effect sensor.

Still need to play around with my suspension settings but it's a definate improvement and the brakes are fantastic now.
As for cost it has set me back around £500 but that is with a set of hel braided lines and a carbon fibre mudguard, neither of which are needed to do the conversion.
Probably better off trying to get gsxr6/750 k4-k5 forks though as (radial) calipers are more readily available on ebay.

Don't be too put off with the cost though, mini twin racers will always have the forks etc off of you so you can recoup the cost easily enough. Either that or just keep the forks and put them back on when you sell (or if you part ex) as the bike will be worth more in standard trim, and then sell the gsxr stuff on.
