Default GSXR Front End Swap, Ride in/Ride out?

I know the subjects been done to death, and have searched (honest), yet theres loads of stuff on what forks, oils etc but nothing on getting someone else to source and do it for you.

Does anyone do a Ride up, it all gets changed and set up, ride away service?

Bikes a SK7.

i very much doubt that you will find anyone willing to fork out their cash for second hand parts. if you have a spare £3k lying around for new parts then i'm sure your local suzuki dealer or suspension specialist will help you out.

it's not hard to do once you have all the parts in front of you.

Its not that hard? I'm very much in the basic spannering group (bolt this to this, hit with hammer and apply gaffa tape), happy to learn and fiddle, but then don't want to **** it all up and be left with an un-ridable bike.

Sounds like a money making job for someone on here?

  1. Source the parts
  2. Get the OP to buy the parts
  3. Get the OP to deliver all parts and inventory them to make sure you have all you need
  4. Complete transfer of all parts and have OP sign off
  5. Return all parts and go over inventory to ensure all parts returned
  6. Pray that nothing ever happens the bike as you were not insured to do this sort of work? (Depends on outcome of EU tamper plans I guess)

even the most ham fisted can do a front end swap. the secret is getting EVERYTHING you need first then just take your time. it also involves buying some new 'special' tools.

depending on where you are there are a few members on here who can do the work if you have the parts. the easiest way to get everything you need in one go is getting a complete front end from ebay on USA but it's also the most expensive as you get hit with import tax etc.etc. doing it that way you would be looking at £700-800. the best front end that goes on without any problems is the GSXR 600/750 k4-k5 as it keeps the steering lock etc.etc.

ooohhh one more thing to consider is your insurance. so depending on how long you have had your licence and how old you are you might not want to do it as most insurance companies wont even look at you and those that do will charge you a fortune.

You could ask Sarah at Steve Jordan's (SV650Racer on here) but as said you'd most likely be buying the bits in advance. They've done it on a number of their own race bikes so they know their stuff, Surrey area I think, depends where you are.

Yes we have done a fair few front end swops for road customers on a ride in ride out basis. Usually customer sources their own front end second hand or I can advise / source for them and then we fit it...and either they collect the old parts taken off or we post back to them.
