Triumph Sprint ST?
Hi folks,
Had a test rise on the Triumph Sprint ST Just what I'm after for a do it all bike. But I also want a bike that going to last me a good few years without turning into a rust bucket. Does anybody how the Sprint measures up in terms of build quality and corrosion? Cheers, Phil. |

FWIW there's a bit in this month's (June) Bike (in the supplement) saying the finish ain't great but I guess this means somewhere between Honda and Suzuki as indicated in a previous post... I suspect it depend on how you're fixed for garaging it and being able to hose down after rides without loads of hassle..

I take it you mean the current model.
I tried one twice but decided not to proceed, mainly just a few niggles that I couldn't get on with. My observation was similar to that noted above. It's not BMW/Honda class but it's better than they were. If looked after I reckon they should be fine. I'd find a Triumph/ST forum and ask there... . |

It is the general concensus that QC dipped after the factory fire while production was farmed out but I do believe that every effort is being made to restore it to original values since returning to the new factory.
I can only speak as I find but my experience is that because they are not as big as the major players they tend to honour the warranty status in order to retain their customers Not the best but by no way the worst, upper of middle Try looking on T595 net as it is the most informed Triumph site I have found |

Thanks for the replies guys!
I keep my bike garaged, and my SV always gets a quick hose down after a run. That said, my 03 SV650 is starting to look a bit shabby. I guess that's why I'm wondering about the new Sprint. It aint cheap and I'd be really pi***d if it goes the same way after 3 years. Justmacsv650 You mentioned a dip in quality relating to a factory fire, do you know if quality is back up to standard now? |
