Some test shots from the XE1. Expired Kodak Gold 400 and Konica VX200

Good fun shooting expired film, you never know what you will get. Some nice colour shifting and grain here.

Some interesting colours there Kenzie and it looks like the XE1 is behaving properly. Pics look nice and sharp. What lens did you have on?
Thanks for highlighting those cameras Johnny. Fortunately (from a financial perspective ) I'm now in the good old PRC and well away from temptation.
There are red flags everywhere on account of the 70th anniversary celebrations and nationalistic fervour is in the air. There's a huge, illuminated Chinese flag projected onto the hotel every night until 11pm, accompanied by patriotic music, which is becoming maddening.
In the end, I brought out the Vivitar SE35, a shutter priority point and shoot. It's small, portable and has a great 1.,7 lens. I think it's overexposing slightly so it's loaded with 200 Superia and I've set the ASA halfway between 200 and 400 ... see what it produces.

The XE had a Rokkor X 50 1.7 from an SRT on it. Wish I had the wide angle on it for some shots. How long are you out there for?

Popped down to Chelmsford yesterday and had a hunt in the charity shops but no joy . One store had a bunch of gear but way overpriced. OM10, 50 1.8, manual adapter and winder for £96. Pretty sure it's been there since at least April 2018 when I last visited. One other shop had a Kodak Retina iii but it was £75. Also popped into Cameraworld but their prices were even higher, nearly £200 for a K1000. I did see an OM10 in the hands of a student attempting street photography, I guess it was for a project as she looked quite nervous. More guys than me, would like to try street photography but worried about complaints. Picked up a copy of Photoshop Elements 12 and a couple of 49mm filters from the re-use shop as well.

JR, got bids in a few faulty OM1 cameras. One may just need a prism swap. If I can get it cheap would you be interested?
