Default Misfire - K5.

Hi Motorcycle lovers

Need some help. A couple of weeks ago my k5 SV650s developed a fault. At riding temp around 80degrees it misfires I have just had it on a dyno for a diagnostics check and it has come up with no fault. The thought is it could be a Crank Position Sensor as the place have had a motorcycle (not an sv) in with the same problem and it turned out to be the C.P.S. I have checked the ht leads, spark plugs, vacuum hoses and all the connections. Has any one had the same problem with their SV.

Mine did this and surged as well, replaced plugs with Iridiums which solved it, not to say it will on yours though.

Both my Sv's did this at some point. I fiddled around with the air box and mountings to the carbs and throttle bodies which seemed to fix it for me?
Not sure if this will help

Thumbs up Re: Misfire - K5.

Thanks for all the suggestions and advice, I have sorted the problem.
It was the throttle position sensor.
