Default Peak District Route/s

Me and my mate are off to stop with his parents who live down in Salt just south of the Peaks. I am yet to venture into the Peak District on the bike yet so after some advice. We are going down Friday and will be taking this route. Get out again on Saturday and come home around Sunday lunch time.

Could do with a nice ride for Saturday though would only be looking at 100miles or so. Sunday would be coming back similar way we go down unless someone has a decent suggestion!

Any decent motorbike shops down around there without going into Birmingham too much? Preferably something big. Not buying - just for a browse and a sit on a couple of bikes!

The nice route down there will depend on the weather. If it's cack we will just be bombing down the m/way!

Thanks for the help guys

P.S.- Apologies if I cause confusion with the thread title with the PD ride Lisa is organising!

It's late so this is going to be breif but hopefully get you started.

In no particular order:
- A537 (Cat and Fiddle)
- A54
- A5004
- B5470
- A57 Eastwards (a must)
- A621
- A625

There are loads more. Just ride and turn where your eyes think looks best...

Alot of those routes now have active covert cameras targeting specifically bikes......'to improve road safety'

Link below which includes the specific routes.

They reckon thats not what they are for.....but the worry is that they could if they wanted too. That my understanding of it.

I have ridden at least 5 of the roads since its introduction (like on the mini peak ride) and we wernt hanging about.
