Continental Conti Motion opinions?
Hi all,
Are any of you running on or have you used Continental conti motion tyres ? Do they give good grip and good wear? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120-60-17-...item43b7f7be9a I don't ride like a mad man (well not all the time) they wont be going on the track so just road but would like good grip as use the bike all year, snow being my only exception.... I need to replace the rear on my sv but thought I may as well get a pair I like to have the same both ends, sad I know but im the same on my cars all 4 have to match just feels right I suppose. Any way bit skint at the mo and these seem a ok ish tyre for the price. If you can advise on a better tyre at the same sort of price please do this will be the first set I have bought for my girls bike so would like to get it right many thanks. |

Re: Continental Conti Motion opinions?
I had them on my previous SV. For the 400 miles i did on them, i was very impressed. However this was during the summer, high sun temperatures and road temperature. Gripped very well, good feedback and felt confident leaning them right over-easily scraping the pegs on the road.
You can get them cheaper here; http://www.nationalbiketyres.co.uk/p.../prod_543.html For the ebay price i would buy these instead; http://www.nationalbiketyres.co.uk/p.../prod_545.html |

Re: Continental Conti Motion opinions?
I have a set on mine, installed and bedded in during the rains in October. Seems to grip very well once scrubbed in. Cant say much about dry grip as I haven't been out too much recently.

Re: Continental Conti Motion opinions?
New Conti motions came fitted to my naked curvy SV when I picked her up from the dealer last month so wasn't my choice. However, riding through some atrocious conditions over the last 4 weeks I have covered 400km (imported bike) without any nasty surprises. Most of the riding apart from collecting the bike has been around town, over white lines and through pot holes, filtering etc, on wet, cold and greasy roads with cold tires.
Wish I could offer you a longer term review, but for the price so far so good and they get the thumbs up from me. Pete

Re: Continental Conti Motion opinions?
I fitted Conti Motions to my curvry .
They were ok. The road attack's are more of a sports leaning .They work well on my RSVR nice feedback even in the rain .Not ridden them in temp below 4'C. Using Maxxis touring on the zx6r . I'm very happy with thrashing about in the cold and wet. see http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=132374 http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=154274

Re: Continental Conti Motion opinions?
I had some fitted to my bike to replace the oe dunlops. I have only covered 400 miles and I have to say for the money they are really good. Lots of grip in the dry and pretty good in the wet too.
Get them! |

Re: Continental Conti Motion opinions?
I have them on my K3 and I love them, they run well grip is excellent and the price is so good.
Now I have found them, I am not sure that I would run anything else on my bike. |
