Home made exhaust
For anyone one as cheap as me, I've found a new way to replace exhausts. I went to Farm & Fleet, my favourite store, and purchased a ford tractor muffler. They are straight through design and very durable. I was going to cut my old pipes, but I figuered haveing a friend bend new ones would make the job easier and more fun in the end. I can't wait!

I am cheap too but went a different route. I gutted the stock exhaust and fitted my own internals, turning the pipe into a glass pack like all of the aftermarket pipes. I have it finished but it is still snowy and cold out so I have not brought the bike outside yet to see how it sounds. If anyone is interested I can give them pictures and advice on how to do it. I will start a post when hear and see how it compares to the stock and aftermarkets.

I've hear the desmodeci's exhaust noise described as, "sounding like a turbo charge tractor...", maybe that's the effect he's going for
Should be interesting to see/hear the results. Pics/wav files please |
