Just back from a few days away in Salisbury. The cathedral tower tour is phenomenal and well worth a trip on its own but in the spirit of research I did test the local beers and food in several lovely inns and hostelries.

Two (small) bits of the town centre are still cordoned off and the funny activity right now is to ask the 24 hour security posted beside them why. They all pretended not to know, which is odd really, as I'm sure it made a few column inches in the papers and kicked off a minor diplomatic incident...
