Mine also passed today,only done 1042 miles last year,all set now for TT.also phoned Hastings to ask how much to park my SV in his garage 200 yards away and that I'd fitted a blue flame exhaust,the answer was nothing...nada... zilch to both question just so long as you've let us know,big smile !!!

The Great Spotted Woodpecker that must be nesting nearby is cheering me up after my test rides were cancelled today. It has been flying in over the hedge, chasing all the other birds off both groups of feeders, takes some suet pellets and flies off again. But, the sparrows (nesting in next door's roof and the nesting terrace I put up) have had enough and are fighting back along with the starlings (also nesting in next door's roof). They're ganging up on the woodpecker and driving it mad. It's like a bonkers game of tag.

The Great Spotted Woodpecker is a lover of meat, especially baby birds, they are well known nest robbers, not as cute as they look !!!

I think I've just bought a new car. Not sure how that happened.

I went out to see how big a car was because mine is on its last legs. Came home with a completed order form for the biggest and most expensive car I've ever had.

I bought my last one 9 years ago, boy cars have changed in that time. I'm not sure it needs to drive it! I asked where the key goes, where the handbrake is. Two fails there. It beeped at me for speeding, it reads the sign posts. Main beam headlights? Does them itself.

I've decided to go to California for a road trip, booking flights tomorrow. Wine region, some big lakes and parks, a few breweries to keep the boys happy, perhaps a day in San Francisco. Now I just need to work out an itinerary and a plan for smuggling cheese out there for Raf who is our host.
