Re: SV feels rough, when rolling off the throttle
What do you mean by new and decent? OEM or do you have another source for SV caps?

http://www.wemoto.com/bikes/suzuki/sv_650_sx/99/ even if they don't list them they are usually helpful just like David Silvers or John Oldfield(Mega knowledgeable guy), http://www.johnoldfield.co.uk/ I don't think it matters if they are OEM or another Brand so long as they are from a trusted supplier. I don't know these people but I've always trusted NGK anyway, https://www.motorcycleproducts.co.uk...-p-297130.html Last edited by R1ffR4ff; 11-02-17 at 09:04 AM. |

Re: SV feels rough, when rolling off the throttle
Thanks for some of the feedback guys. It just seems strange, the bike hasn't lost any power, it's fine riding, when you roll off the throttle and it's just when you get below 5K revs it starts to make a slightly louder and deeper noise (from the engine presumably) and I receive vibration feedback.
I've had a look through the forums and just can't find anything similar. Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk |

Re: SV feels rough, when rolling off the throttle
A bit left field, but worn cush drive rubbers? Only happens when you roll off the throttle?

Re: SV feels rough, when rolling off the throttle
The issue is only happening when there's no acceleration, the bike reaches 5K revs and then the issue arises.

Re: SV feels rough, when rolling off the throttle
I've just been looking at spark plug caps for my 1999 SV650 and they have a 5ohm resistor in them so that should be the around the reading if you test them.I don't know for other years?
It's worth testing them to eliminate them from the troubleshooting. |

Re: SV feels rough, when rolling off the throttle
One easy but worthy test would be to check whether you have any air leaks around throttle bodies. I use Start Pilote to spray on the throttle bodies and rubbers outside and if the revs go up you know you have a leak. WD40 might work as well if you are worried about volatility of the Start Pilote.
