Anyone seen A Falco on the track.
I know its not really for this forum but I thought why not...
Just wondering what people on here have seen of Falco's on the track? I have heard with a few mods (rear shock mainly) they are very able track weapons. So who has seen one/followed one, and what did they think? Cheers, Gr33k |

I have seen worse and bigger barge type bikes on the track that were able..... j/k
I'm sure the falco will perform fine as it is.

I have, the guy riding it said it was quite heavy and my 750 had the legs to beat it on the straights. Could be a good choice though, depending what your other options are.

Well they do have character although it wouldnt be my choice for the track. I think i'd probably go with a firestorm in that budget and for cheaper parts longer term - also if you are going to uprate suspension then why not this too.

Was watching a trackday at Oulton Park a couple of weeks and there was a bloke on a BMW GS 1150. Was funny watching that, along with a verrrrry slow 1098 and a track dayed 749.

Mr UKI, was that GS black with just a flyscreen? If it was, he was at Croft with the Novices just a couple of weeks ago! He was flying around and doing quite well at keeping up with the more track orientated stuff!
As far as tracking the Falco goes Nick, Id be tempted to buy something cheap to track and keep the Falco for touring |

Re: Anyone seen A Falco on the track.
i know of one. my mate has a falco that he completely modded with olhins and mille stuff just cause he could. olhins shocks and forks, mille swing arm and rims etc. reverse geared, everything. and he was doing some great laps till he gave it too much grunt coming out of turn 12 on eastern creek track, (yes i know, its in australia) so then he bought a tracked r1. but he never had any problems on the falco. there is another rsvr that we ride with that has been tracked too and he says he loves it.
now he is rebuilding the falco just for road cause he doesn't want to break it any more. |
