Nice results there Zombie. Thanks again for letting me use your GPS.

Looks like you vastly improved in the last session. There's a massive jump there.

Not to sure if that was a good session (4) compared to yours.

Regarding the improvements in the last session, could there have been something that helped everyone. As i definately felt that was my best session to...???

I can give you or anyone else a copy of the program if someone would find it usefull. All is needed is a data logger which can record latitude/longitude/velocity and should cost about £50.

Thought you did well for first time in inters. I had no probs staying with you when I followed on session 4 not sure what lap I passed you on but the times appear to suggest you went a bit faster that session to keep up with me.

Last session was probably down to me getting hang of the track a bit more. I'm generally not that quick on the final session because I usually have hade my fun and just want to get the bike back in one peice. I reckon low 1:20s should be possible on my bike in it's current configuration. Doing the same track repeatedly is a good way to work on technique since you don't have to spend all morning learning the layout.

Only aching I have is from using the gym on the Saturday night. *Note to self - never weight lift the day before a track day!!*

school report - Must try harder ....and remember to bring a woolly hat. Brrrrr.

Could have done without having to filter all the way home- well all the way from the M1 anyway.

For my next birthday - a trailer. Might settle for a front fairing & a fatter a4se.
You did well and held your own on that 400. Your tyres looked well abused by the end of the day!

Still, A good day was had by us both, nice to meet some 'org ers.
Definitely up for it again. I like the idea of Brands hatch ( as its near to me )

Traffic was a killer... if you were in a van perhaps?
I WILL be visiting Brands later this year, and it'll be the gp circuit!

P.S. From the info you have given me, you are nothing short of a numpty!!

Yeah, i'd really like to do Rockingham again sometime. Maybe the national or even the International, although the SV would get eaten alive on that main straight.

Regarding the data logger, how does it judge when the lap is finished and started. Does it reset when you pass the same spot in the globe or do you have to cut the time on you computer so to speak.

I was pulling 1.38 - 1.40 in the final session but I was quite a bit quicker in the penultimate session. Dunno why I went off the boil a touch in the last session, may have been getting a little cold but it didn't click as much for me!

I can't wait till the 24th April when I do Angelsey with the GixxerJunkies!

The program needs the start/finish line to be defined in terms of coordinates so that it can tell when it has been crossed. The rockingham one is arbitrary positioned because there is no painted line on the track. The config file looks like this:

Splott indEstate 51.479599 3.156049 51.479449 3.155956
Silverstone GP 52.078550 1.016945 52.078834 1.016999
Pembrey Full 51.706077 4.324451 51.705773 4.323575
Rockingham National 52.515309 0.660364 52.515427 0.659761

The first one I used to beta test on public roads .
I've also got code to do bridge to gantry times on the nurburgring aswell.

Though all my program needs is a text file per sessions with your longitude/latitude/velocity per unit timestep and pretty much any logger will do this.
