Re: Does anyone know a UK source for these connectors?
do you have a proper non insulated crimping tool?
if not your going to find it very difficult to get a good crimp. i would suggest that you solder the wires on then crimp. remember that the bullet terminals you are going to buy also need the insulation sheaths as well. honestly m8 for the price of the 3.9-4mm ones you can replace both ends and have loads spare i really don't see the need to use the 3.5mm ones. even the pre-insulated ones will do as long as you can crimp them properly. or is it a case you don't want to cut the bullets off the indicators to stick the new ones on... |

Re: Does anyone know a UK source for these connectors?
I have all the correct crimping tools, I've got some similar wiring jobs going on at the boat (although no bullets of any sort being used there). I actually prefer to use non-insulated terminals with separate insulation. Interested that you recommend soldering, many say don't do that for a high vibration application, although I've done so without problems myself.

I still find it bizarre that every single aftermarket indicator uses these 3.5mm bullets but the matching connectors didn't seem to be available at all, that's why I thought I might be simply looking for the wrong thing or in the wrong place. |
