Just to note (based on KGs post in the route thread) that you do pass fuel at Ingleton, about 10 miles before you hit the campsite. It isn't a huge deal either way, as the plan is to start at a garage in Settle rather than at the campsite.

Did this both up & back ( between Alston & B7076 near Longtown - fuel there ) for GM & it's a super little road. At Alston Left at A686, over bridge & beyond A689 junction - first filling station is now a building site!
