Will a High level exhaust off a K3 fit a K5? - SV650.org

i have got a new K5 but was looking at buying a second hand high level exhaust that is on a K3... does anyone know if swapping it onto mine will work?

It shouldn't work, no.
The K4-5 have a slightly different rear subframe to the K3 so the bracket won't line up properly. The link pipe needs to be a bit different.
You might find that as a high level you can relatively easily make up a new bracket, but I haven't looked into that.
On the other hand, it may be possible to get hold of a K5 link pipe from somewhere and use that.
Only take that last option if you get a really good deal on the can, because the pipes are not cheap.

if I recall correctly,

do cheap exhausts and may do link pipes. The other option is getting a link pipe from someone like Gazelle Stainless and buying any can.
