Default Hello from Henley ont' Thames!

Hello all! I'm new to biking and the SV. Don't have any biking buddies yet either so I'd like to give a little yelp and hopefully meet some peeps! I live in Nettlebed near Henley-on-Thames, but I work all the way along the M4 corridor (from Faringdon to Ealing!).

Very keen on attending AR10 in South Wales... Less than a month away I see!

Anyway, should probably hop on the bike and get my ass to work, but I'll post some more today and hope to say hello properly soon!

Good to be here and have found the site.

Rick

Welcome fella. We run a fortnightly meet on Tuesdays (happening next week) and I actually ride through Henley to get there so if you ever fancy coming along to meet a few more Thames Valley folk then feel free to drop me a PM and we can meet up. Keep a look out in the Thames Valley section and someone will post up a topic about the meet nearer the time. We meet a the Shire Horse just off the A404. I think its in the local area map.

Phil

Hi!

I generally meet with Phil, and the others ever two weeks at the Shire, we're pretty friendly really!

Keep an eye on this section of the forum, someone will soon start a thread about meeting next Tuesday.

Probably at 5pm on Monday. Then go cycling.

Hi also.

I thought there were discussions about moving the location of the meet?

There were but not enough people turned up to make a decision :-p

To be honest I don't mind the shire, and it's a nice ride down for me (in summer at any rate!).

We could do, ooooh, say the Fir tree in Oxford. Then I could just stroll out my front door and see you in the beer garden

Having been to your gaff on no less than three seperate occassions, I can quite safely say I wouldn't fancy the commute to there.

Hello mate, welcome to the site! I seem to pass through Nettlebed a lot, should be no problem to hook up with you at some point! I live in Banbury at the moment but shall be moving to south Oxford in a month or two so will be up for lots of rides then.

I'll keep a look out today and tomorrow then and hopefully spot something about meeting on Tuesday. I ride through Maidenhead to avoid the boredom of the M4. So I've probably ridden right by the pub without noticing it. I'd be up for a meeting up for the ride over if anyone's interested. Drop me a PM and we can arrange things first.
