Default Removing stator cover?

Hi there,
Would like to remove, clean up & spray the stator cover on my K5!
How much aggro is this going be & what (if any) surprises am I likely to discover?

Many thanks
Matty

Shouldn't be a problem mate, A little tough to get off due to the magentism. And you'll need a gasket.

Make sure you don't get paint on the stator.

You might be lucky with the gasket, however it's very doubtful and probably best to replace anyway.

Cheers for the info - Much appreciated
A fairly simple, insignificant thing but me ol mans always told me -

Also, Try and put it on a paddock stand when you do it

I don't know about the SV but on my GS oil came out unless on a center (or paddock) Stand.
