i wudnt touch him with the longest stick in the world, a 100quid tune up and piston replacing on my rs125 ended up costing me nearly 600quid,2 top end rebuilds a bottom end rebuild and a new 3rd gear.

is that just to make us ask why? or are you just stating it was interesting and have nothing further to add?

It has amused me... anyway after that, I am with k31tha, would not trust them with a kiddies tricycle.

A lad at work said there is a firm in Bradford offering pretty much exactly the same services and products called Brook or Brooks? racing Are they connected?? Have read haynes suspension section front back and have decided to service them myself and fit some maxton or k tech springs. Will let you service shock yorkiechris if you have time in the near future and also fit a new spring. Keep watchin fleabay for 2nd hand race shocks but they fetch silly money as they probably need a service and possible spring change. This might sound like a stupid idea but what about fitting a later k series shock and making a longer top mount to compensate for them being shorter? Will it run out of travel? Am I a moron????

I will have time to play with shock next week.

Depends what model shock you thinking of swapping with.
K1-K3 one has same useless compression adjuster circuit, just bigger body (ally, uncoated, sh*te!), different valving.

Better to measure travel on both and compare, but if you losing a little bit of travel it isn't the end of the world.

I have nice trick hypercoils spring here which is probably near right for you if SRAD one is soft. 425#, 2 rates up from SRAD.
