Default Sounds dodgy - what do you think?

I saw this bike for sale and made an enquiry with the seller about mileage, previous owners etc.

http://gloucester.gumtree.com/glouce.../66777798.html

Leaving aside the dodgyness of putting carbon-bloody-fibre on a Thruxton, his reply has worried me:

Quote:
Hi, the bike is still for sale and it has done 4000 miles. It was
used only by me and I took care personally of it, I washed it
meticulously after every ride and I changed the oil periodically.
It`s HPI clear and will come with a full up to date Service History,
Owner?s Manual, Log book and with two sets of keys. By the way, it is
now stored in Scotland with a shipping company and if you were to buy
it, an agent would have to deliver it at your location.
2K is suspiciously cheap for a bike with only 4000 miles, but it was advertised yesterday as being in Gloucestershire and is now in Scotland with a shipping company. I'm starting to think Scam. Should I touch this with a bargepole?

Type into google

"it is now stored in Scotland with a shipping company and if you were to buy it, an agent would have to deliver it at your location"

This guy is raking it in.

Thanks guys. It looks too much like a scam to touch. There's plenty of decent bikes about at good prices, without bothering with this.

I've seen a similar scam with a camera. It all went very quiet when I replied, "I've got plenty of air miles. It will be no trouble to fly up to Dyce and collect in person."
