Still trying to convince my boss that he's effectively giving us a pay decrease by not changing it for over a year now, when cost of living has gone up considerably. Drawing a blank though.

I didn't get a pay rise in my last job either. So much better off now I've changed jobs.

Show them what others are paying for your position and that there are opportunities out there . . . . and that you're open to change for a wage that pays.

Don't we all know about that one ! I had one or two 3 year or so pay freezes in my time and of course when you do get a rise you are just catching up where you were before or maybe not even that.

SpaceX launched more satellites yesterday using a booster for the 10th time! They successfully returned the booster back to Canaveral - I still get a kick out of watching the booster land.

The launch occurs 15 minutes in and if you only want to see the landing it occurs at about 23 minutes in.

Yep they suck. Had a series of redundancies in the early 2000s and took jobs to pay the bills. 20 years later and I feel I've caught back up to where I was in 2001 in relative terms.

I had an approach via LinkedIn for a Technical Support role this week and as my current job is pants I responded. The role sounded quite a junior position, so I jumped in with both feet telling the recruiter my salary requirements..... not heard back since
