Just checked my old 205 GTi, I sold it in 1999 to a mate who sold it for scrap!

The last MOT had the following advisory

"big bore exhaust system fitted but not considered excessively noisey"

So not only can the MOT centre not spell, they are also deaf as the exhaust on that thing was offensive, my mum could hear me 2 miles away, was great as it meant she could get the tea on when I was leaving work

Okay, I admit, I'm bored, I also found this website http://www.ukvehicle.com/

It lead me to an ad for the 205 on Ebay, it looks a lot better than when I owned it, 15 years previous!

Just checked my partners old car, a Nissan 200SX. She had it serviced and MOT'd before selling it in 2013. At the next MOT it failed with around 15 faults, mostly major. The new owner was a student who bought it with the insurance money from a crash in his previous 200SX.

Default MOT, Check history online

I noticed my original SV had an advisory for a loud exhaust last year. Never happened when I had it 10 years ago, so the current owner must have replaced the straight through ART can with something noisy.

When I bought my SV the previous owner told me it had a left hand drive headlamp from new and hence it had an advisory year on year for beam image converters fitted.

I couldn't work out why it would of had a left hand drive headlamp so I took out the bulb and replaced with a good new one..

No more left hand drive headlamp

Well that's nice, everything the previous owner told me about my bike looks true. Judging by the MOT history, it's a genuine bike. 8420 miles in 15 years though. yikes. Its now up to 9000 in the month I've had it.
