Good news Bri.

Mine today is going to Zizzi for post marathon pizza with Verna and friends but seeing all the people heading home from London as we arrived with a big medal around their neck and an even bigger smile on their face. What an achievement.

My home made cider.

This one had been in the demijohn for about six months. Then bottled, primed with half a teaspoon of sugar and left for secondary fermentation for a month.

It's so full of flavour, depth and is as dry as the Sahara in a drought.

After a day sorting out the front and back gardens, mowing, pruning, rubbish clearing, log-pile moving etc etc, this is a pint of ice cold, golden joy.

Long live the apple and its best friends, sugar and yeast.

Pete

PS, can you tell I'm from Herefordshire?

Emailing a chap I met at the MOD reception last week and his name is Major Storm Green. It makes him sound like a Marvel superhero! (In fact he's a major in the Coldstream Guards.)

Ooh nice tights. Actually my boss has a bike very similar to that. It spends more time being repaired than being ridden.
