Default Sv650 curvy and srad fork swap

Hi all,

I have myself some srad fork legs, yokes, callipers. Would like to be able to keep my sv650 front wheel to keep costs down.

I am under the impression that I will need to make up some top hat and spacer.

Will this allow me to keep my Speedo? Has anybody had any luck with this.

Thanks in advance

You will need to mount a Hal sensor to the front fender mounting point and fix magnets to your disc. Gsxr sensor works or buy one on Amazon.

by the time you pay for someone to make up spacers the price of an srad wheel and spindle wont be much more.

to get the hal sensor working the magnets need to be evenly spaced and on a curvy you need 4 so that means an 8 buttoned disc.

you will also need a special top bearing for the stem.

people think that cartridge forks are the way to go but its not always true. the standard SV forks can be made to work 90% as good with a little patience. an average rider wont notice that 10%.

a lot of insurance companies wont touch a heavily modified bike.

Cheapest wheel with discs I can seem to find is over 100 quid.

What are these Hal sensors?? Couldn’t find anything on google. Was thinking maybe gps sensor would of been good enough. Thanks

Not Hal. Hall Effect (wheel) sensor - a semiconductor device that is sensitive to magnetic field fluctuations.
