I-405 freeway
I commuted on this (LA) freeway for 4 years before I changed jobs:
https://gfycat.com/deliriousscrawnycockatoo there were odd sections where it would pick up speeds but this video would be typical of a Friday evening.

Oooof, no wonder lane-splitting is legal in California!

Re: I-405 freeway
Why is it called a 'freeways? ... nothing free about any of that! And I thought the M25 was bad.

The I-405 had a bad reputation even for LA. Heading south on I-5, the I-405 branches off, north of Los Angeles to hug the coast, passes LAX and rejoins I-5 at the El Toro "Y" in Orange County, at that reunion it's 22 lanes wide. Fun fact: odd number interstate highways run north/south, even number interstate hwys run east /west
