Default Headlamps

While I am waiting for my brake bleeder to arrive I am going to try and sort out my headlamps.

When I got the bike the sidelights worked fine and also the man beam and pass light but not dipped beam.

I stripped the switchgear and sprayed all of the inside with contact cleaner and now no headlights at all.

I love electrics

Regards

James

Green connector woes. It's right inside the fairing and you have to take it all off to get at it. Plenty of threads on it already.

If it's a pointy it's the connector block just behind the headstock (raise tank and air filter). Yellow and white cables. Bypass the dodgy cable connections with well protected automotive connectors (spade/bullet). Job done.
If you need any more info, holler.

So I have a right dashboard disco now as the connector seems to be completely knackered so looks like replacement loom or spade connectors

B#gger!
Trouble is they all seem to suffer to some extent so a second hand one could be just as bad?! And then there's the connector on the other part of the loom... by-pass the lot?
What's the best way forward? Probably best answered by someone with more savvy than me.

spade connectors are pennies and a replacement loom is ££££££ so I know which one I'd try first.

Good point, well made.
Cordless soldering iron and a pocket full of spade connectors! Plenty of time and patience... great when it's all done and everything works as it should all the time!
