should i stay or should i go?
not from the .org! My cricket club. I moved in with my girlfriend back in november 35 miles away from where i was. I had already decided to keep on playing for my club, and didn't think it would be a problem - only it is. I play at a fairly high standard through south essex and into east london, but as i now live in north essex it's about a 70 mile round trip. This means i leave home early for the game and don't get a chance to socialize with my mates after coz i want to get back to my girlfriend for the evening. It sounds like a really easy decision BUT i really love the club and all my team mates. So do i note clubs? Do i stay and burn a gallon and a half each weekend of diesel? I'm on a knife edge....

That's my daily commute. What's the point of socialising in a different club were you don't like the people so much. I would stay.

If you rush home to be with your girlfriend 6 days a week then what's the deal with doing the same thing on the 7th?!
Stay at the club, socialise and realise that whilst you've made a commitment in moving out of the area to be with her - you still need a bit of your own life y'know. |
