Default What is this part called? (Indicator related)

Hey guys,

I managed to drop my bike this morning...

The front left indicator snapped off, the indicator itself is okay, but the bit that holds it on to the fairing is broken.

I can't find any replacement parts as I'm not sure what it's called.

Will that part be included in most replacement indicators, such as this - http://www.wemoto.co.uk/bikes/suzuki...te_front_left/ ?

P.s. I'm tempted by getting some LED's whilst I have to replace an indicator anyway. Would they come with the mounting bracket thing for them?

That is part of the indicator, you won't be able to get it on it's own. The world of aftermarket indicators awaits. If you go down the LED route you will need either a new relay or ballast resistors to make them work correctly.

Okay, so it'll come with any OEM indicator unit? Perfect.

Be careful with this - I don't know which model you need the part for, but if you look at the parts list (e.g. this one):

https://www.fowlersparts.co.uk/parts...gnal-lamp-note

Part 8 is the lamp assembly which I don't think includes the bit you want. I can't tell which bit you need, but some of them are in stock - e.g. part 13.

No, you'll need some spacers - sort of teardrop or coffin shape bits of plastic, as aftermarket indicators just use a bolt. Or you could probably get away with large repair washers with maybe a bit of filing.

googling "suzuki indicator spacers" shows plenty of hits of what I mean.
Just to be clear, these are to fit aftermarket indies and won't replace the stock part.

Thanks for that, I hadn't seen this site before.

Aren't spacers for, spacing? So they fit on the same side as the indicator unit, whereas I need something on the other side of the fairing?

They convert the odd shaped fairing hole to a round hole to take an aftermarket indicator. I think you need one on each side of the fairing hole - so 2 per indicator.

I didn't choose the name but I can't think of a better one
