The positive side of our weird weather: It's 10 am and it's 10C already, the rain radar shows no showers in Lincolnshire, the sun is peeking out, the roads are drying out, the salt will have gone after yesterday's rain. Looking good so far (watch this space: I'm a cynic).

Really?

I'm about 25 mile away from you and it's lashing it down!

I rode from Cleethorpes, via Louth to Willingham Woods, had a cuppa, rode back via lanes. Roads were wet in a couple of places because of yesterday's rain running off the fields but didn't rain on me. On my return, I scrubbed the chain, relubed it and spent a couple of hours (outside) cleaning up the excess residue from my previous over exhuberant lubing.

I've looked at the rain radar and we have showers approaching but it's been dry all day so far (15:20 pm)

So, still smiling (well, apart from the fact tea has gone up 5p at Willingham)

Got out yesterday for first ride this year, nice and sunny and about 9 deg, we had floods in our area in preceding week so was a bit of mud on road, a surprising amount of which got onto the bike. Looks like 2 hours riding and 2 hours cleaning ! Didn't fall off so have not lost all my skills over what seems like 'the winter that went on for ever'.

Not in the forecast but looking outside the rain has now changed to snow and turning everything white again.
Winter just won't stop.

too many layers! For the first time this year I had put on too many layers - what a fantastic feeling to ride a motorcycle and be on the warm side of comfortable instead of the wrong side of bloody cold. Love it.

Indeed. What a difference a bit of sunshine makes. Cheers the soul.
