Not sure about any discounts but all the lines offer the same thing and many will say one is better than the other simply because it is fitted to there bike. One bit of advise I will offer is always go for the Stainless Steel Banjo Bolts.

I have HEL lines on the 650 and Goodridge on the 800, no complaints on the quality on either.

HEL do have a bit of a bad habit of sending out wrong lengths... I've had 2 sets off them, and a third for Scooby Drew's ninja, not one was the right size. I also got some wrong banjos. They've always put it right but it's not too impressive (with the custom line I had made for my current front end I gave them exact eye-to-eye measurements, it turned up nearly 4 inches too long. And with Scooby Drew's, we ended up fitting my old SV ones as they were the perfect length (but the wrong size for an SV!)

But the product itself is spot on, and as I say they've always put their errors right in good style, so I don't want to be too angsty about it.

Advice from users, please. I have read cautionary remarks about brake mods - go too far and they become too firm and lose feel. I've had some close calls recently with motorists turning across my path - the roads were wet and over braking would have dumped me so I value "feel". Any views - do braided lines retain feel or are stock lines better?

I cant say across the whole bored as it will always be abit different, but my lines have given me alot more feeling and only after a short ride you get use to useing less of the break for alot more breaking power... still havent even managed to lock up the rear with the new lines.
So unless you go mad i think you should be alright.

Best mod for feel is proper front springs.
