Calling All Members
Dear Orgers,
I've just been looking at the GM attendance list and it's more or less the same ugly mugs every year. If you're not coming, then ask yourself why you're not coming! There's the obvious geographical hurdles, but frequently there's some good folk (and Dave Preston) who make the trip. We thank you all for making the effort. If you've never done a group ride out, then just come and do it coz it's nothing to be scared of. If you've never camped when on the bike, then try it. Ask questions of those that have done it. It's easy, it's cool and you're instantly better than the old guys like me who use a B&B or camping hut. Whatever is putting you off, just say f**k it and come. I'm not after a hundred replies saying I've no money, I've no leave, I've got horrendous piles or I've just been jailed for 5 years for being a dirty old bearded Aussie entertainer. I just want you to think about it and if you can, try it...... it might just be one of the best biking weekends you've ever had. Love & kisses Combatfred

Re: Calling All Members
Ha, great post Fred'ster!
Do it, seriously - check your diary, give the bike a once-over, sling on some luggage (backpack/panniers/tailback - whatever) and get your ass on up here. - Never 'done' Scotland, and always fancied it? - Here's your excuse, DO IT! - Fancy getting a decent run in before the end of summer? - DO IT! - Needing a bit of headspace to get away from it all for a couple of days? - DO IT! The Ecosse-Posse (and the odd couple of real Northerners that sneak on up here every now and again) are a top, top bunch and you'll be well look after if it's your first 'Org meet up. The venue (MacDonald Hotel) is good, the location (Kinlochleven) is utterly beautiful, the roads & route are amazing and you'll feel like an absolute plonker if you really 'could' have made this, but for whatever reason just didn't get round to it. Get your ass in gear and book it. Do it! Last edited by JamesMio; 09-07-14 at 07:02 PM. |

Same ugly mugs???
Tshhhhh I've not been for two years, and you're saying I've an ugly mug? It could well be the last time anybody will see Pete on a bike..... A very good reason to attend

Re: Calling All Members
Yes thanks guys, can you keep him occupied up there please, we don't want him turning up in 'almost France' that weekend.
Scotland on the bike is on my to do list, now I'm not going to make it this year for obvious reasons but work commitments allowing I'm going to make a plan to get to GM next year so look out, I'm coming your way in 2015.

Re: Calling All Members
Good post mate
Me want to do one but every year since 2009, when I started riding, i've been away on holiday abroad. And guess what this year is no different again! I'll be in Portugal while you lot are farting about up in them there hills Enjoy though and I hope next years GM is on a date that I can make
