Re: SVBMX Build Thread
Ah, fair enough! With east trax just down the road from you that sounds like a good shout. I've ridden there a few times on my brothers 250, much fun

Re: SVBMX Build Thread
Rough sketch! Perhaps something like this...
I'd keep it black as to not stand out too much! Thoughts?

Re: SVBMX Build Thread
Beefs it up I bit, they do look a little skinny without a fairing down the front end.

Re: SVBMX Build Thread
Not so sure about that idea. The rest of the bike is compound curves, the belly pan is all straight lines.
But who am I to judge?

Re: SVBMX Build Thread
You've got a point there, maybe mirror the line of the from wheel more like in a regular belly pan.

Re: SVBMX Build Thread
TAKE 2! Tried to take on board the above comments. Following the shape of the wheel and keeping to the curvy style. Much improvement i think.
Thinking i could make it from some sheet aluminium, and have it powder coated black to match the engine black. And could possibly fill the V-shape (front view) with a black mesh of sorts.

Re: SVBMX Build Thread
It is an improvment but I think itll look too tall, if you bring the bit nearest to the wheel up away from the floor a bit, it might help - rather than it being straight at the bottom it would snake upwards.
Might look worse tbh, just a thought |

Re: SVBMX Build Thread
Sketched an alternative angle...
I'm not sure how it will really look until i actually mock something up. And i'm not entirely convinced myself about the whole thing! But i do like the idea of doing something a bit outside the box. I think maybe a vertical vent cut into each side would break it up a little.
