Newbie alert!
Hi folks, Just in the process of buying my first proper bike and I wisely chose a SV 650!
Just move to Somerset through work and don't know anyone, so looking for like minded for rides, help with the new bike and a few laughs. Anyone help a girl in distress? |

Re: Newbie alert!
Welcome Lisa, good choice of bike there. The South West bunch often go out on the odd (and even) blat around. You are more than welcome to join us. Keep and eye on this area and you'll see the rideouts posted.
http://forums.sv650.org/forumdisplay.php?f=121 Coming up there is the Poole Quay, Bristol MoFos meet most Thursdays and the Welsh Taffia meet also. The next 'big' ridout is the Porlock run. There is a sticky for all of these. We tend not to race on rideouts and will always try and make sure that we do not loose anyone as we use a marker system thats explained on the start of the ride. Have fun! Last edited by Beenz; 18-02-07 at 06:50 PM. Reason: Added SWS link |

Welcome to the site!
I can vouch that the S&W Surfers are a good bunch, seeing as I've abused their hospitality for a weekend in the past! Watch out for that Stretchie though... |

Re: Newbie alert!
Thanks for the replys, been sitting home alone today, no bike, waiting for the new one (collect next weekend) and feeling pretty miserable!
Passed test last year and been riding an old honda 400 4 that someone gave me. A friend was nice enough to get it running and so been pootling around Somerset for a while on that. Test rode the new bike this weekend and wayhay....., the difference been old and new is amazing! Glad you don't seem to act the lad on ride outs, need to improve my riding loads and get used to having brakes and actually being able to start first time! Anyone near to Wincanton? |
