Default Rip off pricing

Hi folks, had a 'minor off' on the ice on Thursday and broke my brake pedal. Have just spoken to West London Suzuki and been quoted £67.90 for a new one.

Is it just me or is that crazy expensive?

That's about right. It was about that 3 years ago when I broke mine. So at least it hasn't gone up since then!

Have you broken the lever quite far back or the front bit ?

If it is near the front then http://www.fixer-peg.co.uk/ may be of help to you . They sell replacement Pegs as well so you could drill the old lever and fit a new Peg .

Put a fixer-peg on. When I broke the toe bit on my brake pedal in Jan 2008 that's what I did, and it's still on there now.

From this:

To this for just a few quid:

I fitted a MFW brake and gear lever to mine after my off, sorry I don't have anything more close up but

Looks smart, and were cheaper than suzuki (back in 2001), seems Suzuki have got even more rip-off!
