Default Scratchy/notchy gearshifts

Afternoon all. I thought an oil change might help, but it hasn't. My 14k mile 05 pointy does not shift gear as smoothly as I'd like. Quite often there isn't a smooth travel of the gear lever, it almost feels as if there's a first movement and then a second short one. So the shift feels scratchy or notchy. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Lube the bit where it pivots on the footrest. Any drag there causes shifting problems.

What you need to do is cover another 120,000 miles in the next year - my 134,000 mile K6 shifts gears like a hot knife through butter, so they must break in with use

Could be clutch drag, you could try readjusting the clutch lifter first - search the forum, it's been mentioned a lot of times. They do give up around 20k miles depending how much you use it.
