Default New Dunlop tyres ***Qualifiers***

These are replacing the D208 & D208RR any ideas on how good they are yet?

Got quoted £160 all in as the dealer bought a load in in bulk to run at a promotional price.

Bt014's were coming in at £188

If I can find out how good they are I'll run on Dunlops again

obviously no one has heard about these or use them then..

Well I found that the virgin R6 cup bikes are using them this year... so they cant be to bad a tyre and for £160 fitted aren't badly priced either

I knew a lad who raced in the R6 cup last year and bought a spare bike for practice. When he approached Dunlop for the same 208rr as the series he was told that the everyday 208rr was not the same as the R6 cup tyres, too much to lose, mileage not an issue.
Can't see why their marketing strategy will have changed for the Qualifier.

cheers for the answer mate...

Got talking to a Dunlop guy about these.

Apparently these are in the same league as BT014, Pilot powers etc and are replacing the D208.

I ended up sloting a set of D208RR under mine. the equivalent of pilot power 2CT, BT002 etc etc

I'll let you all know how i find the RR's

cheers

D208RR tyres feel awesome, done about 300mile on them now. They feel really planted wet or dry. Dont know how long they will last but I am in love with the grip

California Superbike School are using them this year on the school R6's.

I have heard some good reports from Tom Grant, (70) Virgin R6 Cup as well

I reckon the bike will be ready for a new rear about the 1000 mile mark but small price to pay for the grip
