If anyone happens across a Vivitar TX mount in Contax/Yashica, Canon FD, Olympus OM or Pentax fit please let me know. Have a 300mm Vivitar lens with a stupid Miranda mount on and would really like to use it.

What purpose would a 135mm f/2.8 lens serve? Quite a fast lens for its focal length but what could I do with it?

An obvious answer but low light, especially if you want shutter speed flexibility. Or I guess, while saying that, if you are taking pics of movement and want to freeze, the lower f stop means you can use a higher speed. Something like that would be useful for concerts. Whether you need it depends on what kind of pics you might take ... and of course pure lust and desire.

The Hanimex lens is another solid lump of metal. It's not light.
Nope, no shooting this weekend. Hope to get out tomorrow. Went to a gig on Friday night, spent the day in Leeds yesterday, alcohol involved so no cameras, and then another gig last night. Late home so I'm a bit of a zombie today, and my ears are still ringing.

Yep. It's a solid piece of kit. Even the aperture ring is metal.
