Default Bent rim!

Managed to hit a big lump of wood at a not inconciderable speed the other day and I've managed to dent my rim.

It doesn't look too bad (bout 3" long, worst bit pushed in about 1-1.5cm).

Just wanted to know if this was repairable or if it's not a good idea to repair a rim. If it is repairable, how would I go about fixing it or where woud I take it??

Regards

It is possible for wheel rims to be repaired. Do a google search, there are hundreds of places that can do it.

It obviously depends if it is just the rim of the wheel that is damaged and by how much. The experts should let you know when you call.

I've used these guys before:
http://www.motoliner.com/alloy_wheel_repair.htm
Quite speedy turn around.

One of the wheels I've had done by them had similar damage to what you're describing.

HTH.

If this was the case i think that places that straighten wheels would be sued left right center. Everyone does it.
