hit a dear at 60 !
hi all, this is my first post but it's a bit of a bad one .... My name is Martyn Stebbens, been riding bikes for 4 years. got a sv in june, had to put a new engine in it because it had been thrashed and it done the big end . got one with 4,000 miles on it for £500. all was well for the next 3 months till last wednesday when a dear dicided to step out into the road when i was dong 60 mph on the way to work, hit it and some how managed to controll it and keep it up and come to a safe stop, but the bike is in a mess

The are stupid creatures, but unfortunately quite solid
At least you survived, bikes can be fixed, humans not quite so easy

Was that a 'old dear' or a 'wild deer'? They're both prone to stupidly wandering into the road without looking.
Glad you managed to keep it shiny side up. Keith. |

I hit a deer at 60 once.....made a terrible mess of my crankcases and my lovely pink Draggins were covered in a lovely shade of blood red and stomach content hues
