Default New Master Link On Old Chain

The master link on my chain dissapeared last night! The chain/sprockets have done around 2500 miles, no tight spots etc - would I be ok to just fit a new master link & carrying on?

No damage when it came off, luckily I was doing around 30 mph at the time and it didnt get caught or snag itself on anything.

The chain is an 'Iris' chain - was on the bike when I got it.

I should think it'll be fine with a new master link. Back in the olden days, spring clips and side plates used to come off and you'd just shove another one on ....

No problem fitting a new one, use the same make of link as the chain as there can be very slight differences between makes

Ah.. ordered a D.I.D one as I couldn't find any IRIS ones..

Oh well I'll get it and see how it fits, if no good I'll order an IRIS one from somewhere.

Had to wait 5 hours for the bike to be recovered by the RAC so ordered 1 on eBay whilst I waited

Anyone tell me if the chain sprockets for all pointy 650s's are the same? My bikes a K3 so would this need a specific K3 kit or will any 650s chain/sprockets be ok?
