Default Polaroid XS100 Camera (Bike Mounted)

Hi,

I just got my hands on a Polaroid XS100 camera. First thing I did was charge it up and stick it on the wing mirror of my bike. I'm rather pleased with the quality.

It was £119 from amazon:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Polaroid-XS1.../dp/B00A81SXHI

and the 32 gb card was £18.64 also from Amazon:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-SDSD...ef=pd_sim_ph_1

I couldn't find it at to many other places but what I read seemed to say that it was as good as a GoPro Hero 3 Silver. I'm not sure about that but it is a fair site cheaper

I looked at these when they 1st came out, but never went any further as i wanted to wait for reviews. Seems to do a very good job. What quality were you filming in? What have you found the battery life like so far?

Quality wise it says 1080p and it doesn't look too bad, I wouldn't put it up there with my main jvc hd camcorder but it seems good enough. The battery is its weak link I reckon. Basically I think it'll last a coupe of hours, maybe three at a push but then needs to be charged by a USB port/plug and you can not put a spare in as it's all sealed up. Having said that though i will be using it for trips on the sv, car and cycle and maybe on a few scrambles and then charging it up again, camping and multi day trips would be an issue.

How are you getting on with this?I was thinking of getting one myself. Does it come with the thread for a tripod mount?

Can someone advise me if this Go pro is worth the extra?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/GoPro-Camera...eywords=go+pro

I have been looking at the XS100 but the flexible mount options and the fact you can change the battery on the Go Pro are making me think of paying the extra.
