We noticed a few weeks ago that we had a large web across most of the window in the utility room. Most days we have a resident in it and here they are. As it is not a house spider (OK, I know it's in the house but you know what I mean) we have decided to leave it alone, especially as it's clearly doing a good job of keeping the fly population down. House spiders either meet their end in the vacuum cleaner or get captured and released down the bottom of the garden near the shed and greenhouse where they will hopefully stay instead to again keep the flying insect population down.

Yes you then just clip them on to the base. A little nylon lubricant has got them spinning nicely.

Waited in all day for somebody today. He than messaged at 8:15pm to say that he couldn't make it. I got bored so started playing with the camera seeing as the wife was at work.

Nice one Col. Lady Poppy would not be too pleased to find me mucking about doing that sort of thing instead of job hunting so I have to keep this sort of thing hidden from her. So far so good

Last day before I go back to work. Headed off to my 2nd home of Oulton Park for a race car test day. 4 cars turned up, which seemed a bit dire, but this little puppy put a smile on my face. it sounded fantastic.
