Re: Pilot Power 3
Old I'm not.
On the Pluss side the PR trails felt nice in the belting rain. Did notice that the turn was slower. But it's a wider front. It's stopped it from following the ruts and lines in the road. Hopefully they will last

Re: Pilot Power 3
I'll be honest that so far with the Pilot Power 3's I haven't felt that much of a difference in grip compared to the PR2's that I had been using. In actual fact I find the PP3 rear on the power out of corners had more slip than the PR2's. That may be down to me not getting them warm enough.
I'll give a further feedback after Thursday and the trackday with SIII and AJC at Croft.

Re: Pilot Power 3
I think I had them on the street as standard. Amazing in the dry but scared the willies out of me in the wet, first time I've ever changed tyres before they were done. Please excuse me if ive got the wrong tyres.

Re: Pilot Power 3
Um super Corsa maybe.
The Diablo isn't anything as scary. But the Daytona had super Corsa oe. Brilliant in the dry.

Re: Pilot Power 3
Update on the Pilot Power 3. Done about 1500 miles or so now. Still good in the dry, but not as good as the 2CT's IMO. Also had them in the wet as well, on normal roads they were mediocre, on bike roads they were slippy, moving about and didn't inspire any confidence. After tweaking tyre pressures & suspension they appeared to behave better. Will find out more in the next shower if this has worked any better.
Not entirely won over on these tyres yet due to the 2CT's being such a good tyre. If the last 30% longer & start to grip better, i'll be impressed. |

Re: Pilot Power 3
Update:
Finally had these out in the 'proper' rain & pretty terrible weather & road conditions. Tyres are behaving much better now with the lowered pressures & tweaked suspension setting. The one thing that does stick in the back of my mind is the slick outer edge of the tyre. |

Re: Pilot Power 3
4500 miles
Tyres still seem to be holding up well. Tread depth looks good as does the shape of the tyre, no flat lining or cupping occurring yet. Usually by this mileage on the 2CT I'd be changing the rear in 1-2K, so it will be interesting to see how much further this tyre gets beyond 6K. |
