having physical limitations myself; and also tried staying away from the campsite one year, not doing the Saturday rideout on another, for me the AR is about all camping together and doing the rideout, I meet members I've known for years but only see at the AR, it's fine to have some consideration for those who want to B&B or whatever, and I think Lou's proposal has more that accommodated that, but as long as folks can congregate in the evening in a lighted fairly dry place; everthing else can and will be sorted by those attending.

Hot tubs, tennis courts or a polo pitch, whilst desirable by some are far from essential.....

Cheers Mark.

No polo pitch, I say, how frightfully barbaric.

I'm sure I saw a version of bike polo on the news yesterday, although I didn't catch the actual report... looked like quite a few based up bikes playing though.

Nah, Orose, that was Sundays StuntBike Soccer!
Giant silver yoga ball being kicked and punched about a carpark, by a load of 'streetfighters'

Sure we could get a couple of teams together, as long as they learn to keep their ramming speed down

I don't get this luxury issue, I have a nice compfy blow up D..D..D..Mattress and a lovely warm tent and sleeping bag.
my knees are shot due to all the tabbin in the army and my back has three crushed vertibrae.
but i don't think modern camping is ruffin it, I understand it's nice to have a bunk up without getting a wet backside from the tent roof though.
