Rip Jim Marshall
When I'm not on the bike I've normally got a guitar plugged into a Marshall amp, simply the best noise makers in the business. Thanks Jim, you made me deaf but I don't regret a minute of it...

Re: Rip Jim Marshall
Well iconic stack of the 70s.
Never owned one though.

Re: Rip Jim Marshall
I have one of these - it goes up to 11. A gift from Mr LPH.
When you live with a man who plays bass you sort of get used to large black boxes with the word Marshall on the front appearing in the living room.

Re: Rip Jim Marshall
My first amp was Marshall. Regretted selling it as soon as the cash changed hands.
Got this poster somewhere at home signed by the man himself.

RIP Jim. He'll be meeting up with a few old customers no doubt.
I have an all valve JCM2000 Dual Super Lead. Sounds great. For the use of...........Gibson ES335 and US Stratocaster Deluxe HSS. Last edited by Small Clanger; 13-05-12 at 10:57 AM. |

Re: Rip Jim Marshall
I had a Marshall 8W practice amp which I inherited off a mate and eventually died (all the switch gear was shot). Left it in the loft when I moved and didn't have anything for three years. Got a little Peavey now and it's fine, but it isn't a Marshall

RIP the man responsible for lost hearing & tinnitus, but everyone enjoyed losing it at the time, including me.
