Default Front forks - to GSXR or not to GSXR?

Please dont shoot me ive tried the search engine & everything seems very fragmented so here i am !!

The bike= K9 sv650sport

The rider= 16 stone with gear

ussage= daily commute about 14 mile round trip m-way & dual carridge way done in all weathers (not snow)!!
good weather love fast b-roads (dont we all)!!
& as many trackdays as i can (normally brands indy)

The Question= would £500 be best spent on a gsxr front end conversion or could u guy suggest a better return for the cash???

issues im having= feels like pogo stick on fast bumps & dives badly on brakes & feels like it gets sooo far over then feels like sudden increase in lean angle!!!

Im thinking k8 gsxr 600 forks (the black ones) !!!
any advise or links please many thanks

I weight a little bit more than you and did this (late model black GSXR forks on a K5). I loved it -looked fantastic, and the bike felt great. I would definitely do it again.

If it's a commuter (and only a commuter!) that you plan on selling in the future I'm not sure I would - I'd at least try stiffer springs first.
The gsxr front end will add little value when you sell it although selling your standard bits will recoup some of the outlay.

It's a daily comuter/mode of transport + weekend toy so it has a hard life !!!

Go for it.

But pick some forks which have the correct spring rate for you rather than ones you like the colour of.

Go for it! I fitted GSXR 750 K7 forks to my Thou' and the bike is a million times better handling and looks the dogs danglies.

It is personal choice though. Many have said that well set up SV forks are very good, but, so far I have found badly set up GSXR forks are even better! As soon as I get them sorted the bike will be amazing!

Good luck dude, happy to answer any questions you may have

Go for it, you'll recover most of your cash if you sell the stock parts.

Someone on motoforum is selling what appears to be a complete K7 600 front end.
