What's the upgrade to a 675 like? Are there any things to look out for with Trumpets like corrosion or are they better than suzuki sv in that department? Sent from my SM-G903F using Tapatalk

Re: Fork value
I'll be honest I'm not too sure, I jumped in to mine without doing any research!
In hindsight I would have looked around a bit more for a similar age 675r, you get the ohlins and brembo. However I've had the suspension set up and upgraded the brakes and fitted a quick shifter. I think there's a slight bump in power for the 2009 onwards and as I said before the plug and play quick shifter. Compared to the sv it doesn't feel a million miles off like a 600 il4 can, they're very svelt! Almost like sitting on a 125, the sv actually feels big in certain respects against the Tona! Much like the sv you get torque for days, however the jump in power means you get a lot more acceleration and it's nice and smooth. It revs a lot higher too, think the gen 1's redline at 13.6k or something so you're looking at 140mph+ easy. And I do mean easy, the sv is quick up to say 70ish but as with all the "big" bikes the Tona is quick in to triple digits! I think something to keep an eye out for would be the headers, they can crack at the welds and make a weird rattling sound. Mine are and I really need to get them looked at soon. Other than that as long as it's well maintained I think it's just the same general things as any bike. From what I've seen on mine so far there's less cheesium used but that's not to say it's not got any Got any local you can test ride? The 06-12's are very similar aside from the points I mentioned but the 13+ has quite a few differences. Nowt wrong with the gen 1's but if you're looking to upgrade it etc with things like the quick shifter or custom maps I'd say look out for a gen 2. Imo I think it looks better too, the front is a bit nicer Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Re: Fork value
Oh you also get a lot more adjustment in the suspension, fully adjustable for preload, comp and rebound front and rear.
You can of course also get the internals upgraded on the forks if needed, whilst mine is set up I could do with some stiffer springs as I'm a bat fastard ! Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Re: Fork value
Thanks for all the info, it's very helpful. There is one about 25 miles from me but not in the colour I want but I might give it a go just to see how I feel about it.
What's the seat height like in comparison as an SV is ideal Sent from my SM-G903F using Tapatalk

Re: Fork value
Seat height is similar I think, however it's thinner at the mid point where it meets the tank so if it's a bit taller it's less noticeable if that makes sense?
It's also lighter I think. 10st! You'll fly on any big bike haha Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Re: Fork value
Oh also something else to consider when looking, if you're wanting an end can look for ones with them already. They aren't cheap!

Re: Fork value
I was noticing that, the one in Newport is 06 at £5400 with 17k and an arrow end can. Seems a little steep by comparison
